Have you ever had to put a Post-It note on your computer monitor to remind yourself to remove a permission in a few days?
Come join me as I share my journey with you from using Post-It notes to developing an automated process to grant temporary permissions on a SQL Server instance to only give people access to what they need when they need it.
You will leave with the tools to help you increase database security without increasing your workload.
Before the commencement of her reign as the “Database Security Czarina of NISA,” Sharon Reid was an adjunct English professor.
After taking a LaunchCode class on SQL, she was asked to be a teaching assistant and then took over as lead mentor for the SQL cohort for LaunchCode Women+.
Currently, she is on the St. Louis SQL Server and BI user group advisory board. Sharon enjoys sharing her passion for database security and is determined to make it fun, practical and implemented.
