A variety of data file formats is used in Azure data engineering today. Everyone has worked with CSV files, but when is Avro used and what advantages does ORC offer? Selecting the appropriate format for your data engineering workloads can provide benefits in performance, scalability, and maintainability. In this session, we will look under the hood of different file formats, compare each one and examine which one to use for which use case.
