Let’s have some fun with SQL operations Studio, containers and a possibly bit of Linux.
A lot of interesting stuff is happening lately. We got a brand new open source tool for connecting to our beloved SQL Server from any platform we want: Linux, Mac, Windows, … This tool is the SQL Operations Studio.
Frederik Bogaerts and Randi Vertongen will give you an introduction to the tool and show you its full potential! And yes they promise to make a connection from a Linux OS… What did you expect!
As a little extra they will also show you the MSSQL-CLI, a command line tool in public preview for querying SQL Server.
The session will be lightweight and easy going, a good way to relax after a hard day of SQL server work!
Randi Vertongen works as a SQL Server consultant at Kohera. He has a degree in Business Intelligence,
but found that a career path as a SQL Server DBA is what he wants to pursue.
Always looking for a nice T-SQL challenge and optimization and tuning of SQL server using management studio or operations studio!
Frederik Bogaerts works as a SQL Server Consultant at Kohera, mainly focused on query tuning and T-SQL development projects working with a variety of different SQL server versions.
He is always trying to learn more in depth about how the SQL server engine works and how the optimizer thinks.
