Azure allows us to easily create an enormous amount of powerful resources and features. However, that presents its own problems. You might unknowingly create a resource, or enable a feature that shows up on the top of your costs reports very quickly, or grows uncontrollably over time. The first goal of this presentation is to provide guidelines to prevent a costs crisis in your organisation. The second goal is to better understand the cause of your currently growing costs, to monitor and to reduce them. We will cover resources that are very commonly used such as Data Factory, Databricks, SQL Databases, Synapse, Fabric, Log Analytics, Data Lake, Virtual Machines etc.

Speakers
Kristijan is a computer scientist by education and Azure Architect in his current role in Lytix. Having studied in University of Ljubljana for his bachelors and KU Leuven for his masters, he has obtained a lot of international exposure. With over 6 years professional experience and 5 Azure certifications, he is eager to help organizations achieve their goals and modernize their processes.
In his spare time he enjoys doing sports and travelling.
Jonathan is a PhD in Engineering science and found his way to data and analytics as part of the Lytix team where he is a vital part of the Power BI practice. He loves continuous learning, but also the ability to translate complex topics to a language that everyone can understand.
