Delta Lake is an open-source storage framework that enables building a Lakehouse architecture on compute engines like Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks,… The goal of this session is to give you a solid understanding of what Delta Lake and Delta Tables are and how they work in Microsoft Fabric OneLake.
In this session, you will learn how to create and work with Delta Tables using either Python or Spark SQL. You will not only see how data in Delta Tables can be queried and transformed but also advanced features like transaction logging, time travel, optimization will be covered.
Azure Data Explorer (ADX) is maybe the least well known part of the fabric story. But this database can be used for both batch as well as streaming data storage, indexing and querying. In this session you will see how to set it up, ingest data as well as learn the intuitive Kusto query language.
